What is PU gel?

Normally sprayed with a base coat of Schwabelack and a special DuPont primer coat.
When spraying it is difficult to build up the thickness of the coat because it is a thin paint and results in a thinner layer than Acrylic.
Is said to minimise the effects of UV radiation although we see no significant difference when compared to Acrylic - both are good.
More difficult to work with than Acrylic and takes about 4-5 days longer refinish process then Schwabelack.
Very thin ( that is, thin like water) compound so possible "fish eyeing" problems during the spraying process.
How to keep gel in good condition?
After refinishing a yearly wax polishing, preferably with a UV barrier wax,  will help protect the gel from the damaging effects of the atmosphere and UV. Polishing will also have the effect of filling and levelling the remaining surface giving a smooth and level finish. The possibility of damage to the surface will automatically be reduced if it has a high gloss finish. The better the gloss the lower the reactivity.

Base coat
In case of standard refinish we use Schwabellack as the base coat.
In case of PU or Acrylic in addition to Schwabelack protective coat there must be used the Prime Coat advised by manufacturer to secure the fiber surface. This operation is free of charge.

Overhaul 3000h
If required we may perform yearly and standard thousand hours (1k, 3k, 6k, 12k) overhauls.
3k h inspection is about 1500-1900eur plus all spares required.
